CIC Expert featured in The Globe & Mail

Feb 22, 2018 | Expert Update

CIC Senior Fellow Valerie Percival was recently featured in The Globe and Mail. Her work “On global health, Canada is not ‘back’” examines how Canada’s failure to prioritize global health in the G7 process could not come at a worse time. Yet an opportunity exists for Canada to promote a G7 Global Health Initiative to fill the gap left by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control’s budget cuts that will undercut the American “health security umbrella” for the world.

Valerie Percival’s article was noticed and responded to by Peter M. Boehm, the Deputy Minister for the G7 Summit and Personal Representative of the Prime Minister.
